I really enjoyed creating a wiki; I found it much easier than making a webquest. I like the fact that the students can really be involved in their own work and at the same time interact with the other students in their class (either by discussions or by doing group work). Additionally, I think for shy students who don’t like to raise their hand in class (like I was in school), a wiki is a great way for them to give their input. I think I could have a gained a lot from wikis.
I would use a wiki in my class for each subject that I teach. Each wiki would contain a mix of things. I don’t think it would only be content based, but more of an extension of what is being taught in class. I for sure would make a big part of it discussions. I think it is very important for students to be able to express their feelings and ideas about things that they are learning and through the discussions they are able to voice their opinion on different topics and ideas. Additionally, I love the idea of group work that can be done on wikis, so for sure that would be included on my wikis.
